Lasting only a little over two minutes, Noise-space (2002) moves the listener through a shifting aural environment. The piece begins as a sparse collage of harsh, noise-derived sounds moving around the listening environment. Approximately halfway though, noisy elements begin to take on tonal characteristics and a dialog between spatially mobile noise and static sounds ensues. A piece for two channel tape, noise-space was premiered in April 2003 at the University of Minnesota Spark Festival.
